JV and Varsity Teams head south to Myrtle Beach to kick off their seasons at Spring Training!!!

JV and Varsity boarded buses in the early morning of March 23 to head south for a few days and take in Spring Training at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach. They say that spring training is a time for teams to brush off dust and to get to know each other and boy did they! Despite the first day being rough with rainouts, both teams rallied to play their first few games of the weekend. There were breaks in the action and time for fun in the sun and taking in some Myrtle Beach sites and restaurants. The teams ended the weekend with JV going 2-2 and Varsity finishing at 3-0. Not a bad way to start a season. The boys arrived home to a blustery 30 degrees and snow, but their memories made on the trip kept them warm that night. Thanks to all who made the weekend happen, our coaches who so bravely kept the kids safe, in line and coached the boys to great records. To our parent helpers, Alaina Lubbert whose tireless planning helped the trip run smoothly, the Kollings and Bakowskis for helping pass out food to the boys and coaches in their rooms, and Dave Henc for keeping the hometown crew updated with game changer. The Boosters could not have done it without all of you! Can't wait to see what these kids accomplish for the rest of the season!
