North Hills Indians Varsity Loses Lead Early In Defeat


North Hills Indians Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 9-0 loss to Mars on Monday. Mars scored on a single by Frank Craska in the first inning, a single by Bednar in the first inning, a triple by Fletcher in the second inning, and a groundout by Wetherholt in the second inning.

The North Hills Indians Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Mars, giving up nine runs.

Mars got things moving in the first inning. Craska drove in one when he singled.

One bright spot for North Hills Indians Varsity was a single by Steven Miller in the second inning.

Bednar was the winning pitcher for Mars. He allowed two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 15 and walking one.

Joey Pusateri took the loss for North Hills Indians Varsity. He surrendered seven runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out one and walking one.

Garret Barto and Miller each collected one hit to lead North Hills Indians Varsity.

Mars racked up ten hits on the day. Fletcher and Craska each collected multiple hits for Mars. Fletcher led Mars with three hits in four at bats.
