Big hitting performance carries the North Hills Indians Varsity past Baldwin 11-1

Steven Miller hit two home runs to carry the North Hills Indians Varsity to an 11-1 win over Baldwin at Baldwin High School in seven innings.

Ten runs in the first three innings helped the North Hills Indians Varsity blow out Baldwin. A two-run single by Brian Farabaugh and a two-run home run by Miller in the first inning helped the North Hills Indians Varsity put some runs on the board early.

Mike Serpa was a workhorse on the rubber while bagging the win for the North Hills Indians Varsity. Serpa allowed one earned run, four hits and no walks while striking out one over seven innings of work.

The North Hills Indians Varsity were sparked by Miller and Farabaugh, who teamed up for five hits and five RBIs.

Eisel was charged with the loss. He allowed 10 runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked none and struck out one.

The North Hills Indians Varsity increased their lead with six runs in the third. A clutch sacrifice fly scored Brendan Burke to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Miller's single, plating Farabaugh.
