North Hills Indians Varsity Nabs Win Over West Allegheny Despite Early 3-Run Inning


West Allegheny scored three runs in the fifth inning, but North Hills Indians Varsity still won 11-4 on Thursday. Austin Hendrick and Shea Downing each had RBIs in the frame.

North Hills Indians Varsity secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fifth inning. Steven Miller, JT Mazula, Alex Glatz, and Jordan Pitchford all drove in runs in the frame.

In the first inning, North Hills Indians Varsity got their offense started when Mazula tripled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

North Hills Indians Varsity scored six runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught came from doubles by Miller and Glatz, a triple by Pitchford, and a single by Mazula.

Beau Braunlich was on the mound for North Hills Indians Varsity. He lasted five innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out seven.

Hendrick toed the rubber for West Allegheny. He surrendered three runs on four hits over four innings, striking out six. Ryan Dorste, Luke Lambert, and Downing each contributed in relief for West Allegheny.

North Hills Indians Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. Miller, Tyler Zozos, Braunlich, and Mazula each managed multiple hits for North Hills Indians Varsity. Mazula had the most chances in the field with 12.

West Allegheny tallied seven hits on the day. Hendrick and Downing each collected multiple hits for West Allegheny.
