North Hills Indians Freshman Struggles To Find Groove Against Central Catholic


Wednesday was a long day for North Hills Indians Freshman, falling to Central Catholic 12-4.

Central Catholic fired up the offense in the first inning, when Palahunik grounded out, scoring one run.

Central Catholic pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning. In the second Central Catholic scored on a stolen base during Hunt's at bat. Then Hunt doubled , driving in one, Palahunik singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Central Catholic scored one run on a stolen base, and an error scored one run for Central Catholic.

North Hills Indians Freshman tallied three runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by North Hills Indians Freshman was led by Josh Dreyer and Alec Apodaca, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Tadic led things off on the rubber for Central Catholic. He allowed four hits and four runs over five innings, striking out nine.

Apodaca got the start for North Hills Indians Freshman. He allowed five hits and seven runs over two innings, striking out one. Aidan Tumpa and Kerry Wolff entered the game as relief, throwing one inning and one inning respectively.

Drew Garth, Wolff, Apodaca, and Tumpa all had one hit to lead North Hills Indians Freshman.

Central Catholic tallied nine hits in the game. Palahunik, Pawlowitz, and Hunt each racked up multiple hits for Central Catholic. Palahunik went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Central Catholic in hits. Central Catholic didn't commit a single error in the field. Pawlowitz had the most chances in the field with nine.
