Jordan Pitchford Drives In Five To North Hills Indians Varsity Victory Over Armstrong


Jordan Pitchford would not be denied at the plate when runners were on base on Thursday, driving in five on three hits to lead North Hills Indians Varsity past Armstrong 16-12 on Thursday. Pitchford drove in runs on a home run in the fourth and a double in the fifth.

Bats blistered as North Hills Indians Varsity collected 12 hits and Armstrong tallied 14 in the high-scoring game.

Armstrong opened up an early lead in the second inning when Porter doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

North Hills Indians Varsity took the lead for good with ten runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Steven Miller's sac fly scored one run for North Hills Indians Varsity, Tyler Brennan's sac fly scored one run for North Hills Indians Varsity, Tyler Zozos doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Pitchford homered on a 3-1 count, scoring three runs, an error scored one run for North Hills Indians Varsity, and David Lane doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Armstrong scored three runs in the second inning. Porter and Morris powered the big inning with RBIs.

JT Mazula took the win for North Hills Indians Varsity. He lasted three innings, allowing nine hits and eight runs while striking out four and walking one. Miller and Garret Barto entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Barto recorded the last three outs to earn the save for North Hills Indians Varsity.

#28 led things off on the hill for Armstrong. He went three innings, allowing eight runs on five hits and striking out five. #4, #18, and #21 each contributed in relief for Armstrong.

North Hills Indians Varsity tallied two home runs on the day. Pitchford had a homer in the fourth inning. Miller put one out in the third inning. Armstrong tallied three home runs on the day. Porter had a four bagger in the sixth and seventh innings. #18 had a long ball in the first inning.

North Hills Indians Varsity collected 12 hits. Pitchford, Jordan Albright, and Zozos all managed multiple hits for North Hills Indians Varsity. Albright and Pitchford each collected three hits to lead North Hills Indians Varsity.

Armstrong tallied 14 hits on the day. Porter, Morris, and #23 each managed multiple hits for Armstrong. Porter went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Armstrong in hits.
