JV drop 5-4 game to PR despite efforts of Pitchford

April 24, 2016

Jordan Pitchford did all he could to give the North Hills Indians JV a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past PIne Richland, as the North Hills Indians JV lost 5-4 in seven innings at Pine Richland High School on Friday.

The North Hills Indians JV's Pitchford was perfect at the dish, going 2-2. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.

The bottom of the first saw PIne Richland take an early lead, 1-0. Montanari singled to ignite PIne Richland's offense. A groundout by Dewitt then moved Montanari from first to second.

PIne Richland didn't relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the second inning when it scored on a two-run triple by Montanari.

PIne Richland got one-run rallies in the third inning and the fifth. In the third, PIne Richland scored on an RBI double by Lamendola, plating #5.

Two runs in the top of the seventh helped the North Hills Indians JV close their deficit to 5-3. A two-run single by J Rozanski set off the North Hills Indians JV rally. Finally, #22 got Conner Warner to ground out to end the game.
