Varsity lose 3-1 to Butler

Brendan Burke did all he could to give the North Hills Indians Varsity a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past Butler , as the North Hills Indians Varsity lost 3-1 in seven innings at Butler High School on Monday.

Burke reached base two times. He singled in the fourth inning.

Negley recorded the win for Butler . He allowed one run over seven innings. He struck out seven, walked three and surrendered three hits.

Mike Serpa ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.

The game was never in doubt after the first, as Butler scored one run on.

Butler tacked on another two runs in the second. A sacrifice fly scored Kibbie to start the scoring in the inning.
