Hot bats not enough, JV falls to Baldwin, 10-8

Ten hits weren't enough for the North Hills Indians JV as it lost a shootout, 10-8 in seven innings, to Baldwin on Thursday at North Hills - Herb Field.

Jake Braunlich racked up two RBIs on three hits for the North Hills Indians JV. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth and seventh innings.

#22, #19 and #10 helped lead Baldwin . They combined for four hits and five RBIs.

The bottom of the first saw the North Hills Indians JV take an early lead, 4-0. Joey Pusateri got things going for the North Hills Indians JV with a double. An error then moved Pusateri from second to third. The North Hills Indians JV then tacked on more runs when Eback scored on an RBI single by Alex Glatz and Kirkland and Glatz scored on a two-run double by Braunlich.

The lead stayed with Baldwin after the fourth, when it scored four runs on a two-run double by #22 and a single by #24.

Baldwin increased its lead with three runs in the fifth. A clutch bases loaded walk scored #19 to open the scoring in the frame.

Two runs in the bottom of the fifth helped the North Hills Indians JV close their deficit to 9-6. A two-run single by Glatz gave the North Hills Indians JV life. But, #20 got Braunlich to to end the inning.

A one-run sixth inning helped bring the North Hills Indians JV within three. An RBI single by JT Mazula sparked the North Hills Indians JV's rally. #20 ended the inning by getting Tyler Zozos to strike out.

One run in the bottom of the seventh helped the North Hills Indians JV close their deficit to 10-8. A groundout by Glatz set off the North Hills Indians JV rally. The game went final when Conner Warner.
