The North Hills Indians Varsity muster more hits but fall 8-7 to Peters Township (McMurray, PA)

The North Hills Indians Varsity lost 8-7 in seven innings at Ripken on Friday, despite outhitting Peters Township 10 to nine.

Damian Yenzi blasted two home runs for the North Hills Indians Varsity. Yenzi went 2-4 in the game with two RBIs and two runs scored. Yenzi homered in the first and sixth innings. Brian Farabaugh also had a home run.

Mundy, Kemp, Sehnert and McElroy helped lead Peters Township . They combined for six hits and eight RBIs.

The top of the first saw the North Hills Indians Varsity take an early lead, 3-0. A solo blast by Yenzi started the inning off. The scoreboard lit up again for the North Hills Indians Varsity when Ruggieri and Leise scored on a two-run single by Adam Averell.

Peters Township scored one run in the second inning, and then followed it up with one more in the seventh. In the second, Peters Township scored on an RBI single by Mundy, bringing home McElroy.

After posting three runs in the fourth, Peters Township again scored three in the sixth. In the fourth, Peters Township scored on a groundout by Mundy, plating McElroy.

The North Hills Indians Varsity pushed across one run in both the sixth inning and the seventh. In the sixth, the North Hills Indians Varsity scored on a solo home run by Yenzi.
